Online Cultural Emergence Effective Design Course (CEED) 2024
Course Description
Join Looby Macnamara and Jon Young for the CEED course, one of the modules of the Cultural Emergence learning pathway. We focus on how we can manifest our goals and visions effectively. Make a design for yourself or your organisation to create a culture of effectiveness.
This training will give you the confidence and skills to design any aspect of your life. We will be using the Design Web to create a design for our own effectiveness as well as exploring how it can best be used in different scenarios. You will gain design skills and tools ready to take forward and do more designs.
The course will take place online including live calls with Looby and Jon and small group tutorials with the experienced CEED team, plus videos and additional on line learning materials to work though in your own time.
During our time together we will focus on how we can dedicate our energy to finding effective solutions for ourselves and the world. This will be a richly nourishing, empowering and truly life transforming course.
The foundation for this course is the creation of our own designs. This enables us to integrate the learning into our entire being as well as having a tangible outcome. We will work on designs individually as well as in class time. This will be a richly textured course with creative and embodied activities for you to do at home. These are supportive of different learning styles & for people with learning difficulties. There will also be plenty of time to connect online with other participants and the CEED team.

The tools learned for designing cultural emergence were really great. They can be applied in so many levels, from very personal to a community or global projects. The teachings were clear, organized, dynamic, abundant and fun! Thank you so much!

The night I got home from our time with Looby I used the design web for a meeting in which I had suddenly become the chair.
It was so helpful to have the Design Web framework to guide our discussion. Looby's work, like permaculture principles gives us a meta-tool in which to place other tools and techniques in order to bring them into a whole functioning system.

The CEED retreat was an experience like nothing else I’d ever done before. The inspired wisdom of the facilitators and the activities with the other participants was challenging, activating, and integral. We were given a framework for design that we could apply to any parts of our lives, and I was immediately finding creative ways to apply this new approach in my life after the event. This experience expanded my personal vision and capacity, and pushed me outside of my comfort zone in the best possible way.
I am so grateful that I signed up for this program, and would highly recommend the opportunity to spend time with these incredible mentors. Thank you for an incredibly inspiring life experience!!
